Lucy the Barn Owl appeared in the owl house on the morning of 12/29/10 in Poway, CA. It was raining that day and she stayed in all day. Ricky joined her that evening. They were living in a large palm tree not far from the owl house. They checked the owl house every night for 18 days before Lucy finally decided to stay in daily.
The house design was copied from the Molly & McGee owl box, with some extra perches added.

Lucy spent a peaceful day tending to her 2 eggs. She had a rabbit in the box this morning. She spent the day nibbling on it,
Late in the day she tried to gulp it down but gave up.
